Check foundation for any cracks. Check grading slope.
- Check roof for any loose shingles. Also check the soffit/fascia.
- Clean and check eavestroughs and downspouts.
- Check chimney for loose mortar, spalling bricks.
- Clean window wells.
- Clean furnace humidifier. Change furnace filter.
- Install new batteries in smoke detectors.
- Clean electric baseboard heaters.
- Check floor drain in basement.
Furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps should be serviced on an annual basis by a qualified technician.
